It's about mid-page, generally, "red" states send get less money from the government than what they give. Generally, "blue" states get more money than what they send.
On could argue that historically, red states have been largely agricultural economies and they haven't participated in the industrial and information revolutions that left the bluer states on top of the economic heap. You get taxed more b/c you make more, thanks to progressive taxes. In some ways, red states are oppressed economically by blue states; any reason why there should be a "Silicon Valley" in Idaho?
