"She's gotta have it" and "Mo better Blues" are indeed masterpieces. Granted O Davis wasn't in them...

Additionally, Spike Lee can't be credited with <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0281686/">Bubba Ho-Tep</a>.

Am I missing something? <strike>Spike Lee</strike> Ossie Davis Film Festival.

Mr. Davis's Ouput w/ Spike far exceeds (quantity is fact, quality is my opinion) the other stuff you guys were talking about, although Bubba Ho Tep does kick ass.

a brief (and possibly incomplete sumary:

She Hate Me (2004) .... Judge Buchanan
Get on the Bus (1996) .... Jeremiah
Jungle Fever (1991) .... The Good Reverend Doctor Purify
Malcolm X (1992) .... Eulogy Performer
Do the Right Thing (1989) .... Da Mayor
School Daze (1988) .... Coach Odom

You snuff out Spike Lee, and I'll go to that Festival.

Well, I spose I shoulda titled my thread differently.... but the Ossie Davis appearances in films that really touched me the most I had assosciated w/ Spike....

Could we just let Spike live and pray he focuses more on making films than being a nincompoop in the press?
