French Tip nails

I had a dream last night that I had really long nails and a French manicure. You know what I'm talking about-- nails that are painted two colors, 'flesh' on the top, and white on the end. I think it's aimed to mimic nice looking nails, but I couldn't say for sure. The dream was so unpleasant that I cut my nails first thing this morning. This brings up a couple of questions: A. What the hell does this mean? B. Why a French manicure? Weird.

Dream images often use powerful symbolism to communicate an idea. Often, those symbols are specific to the dreamer. They can also reflect cultural symbols. French manicures tread the line between cheesy high school girls who want to look "classy" and bridal magazines. So, considering the dream made you feel uncomfortable (or at least was "unpleasant"), I'd guess that there's something in your life right now which makes you feel as if a situation/person is trying to push you into a very stereotypically feminine (or feminized) role - one which is not very "you", and one which you find a) fake, and b) beneath you. Either that or your nails really needed a trim. x

I had a dream that I turned down the idea that everyone at the Kennedy School had to speak French from now on. Any connection? My dream was on Sunday night.
