May I recommend Mt Auburn Hospital: One of the best French Onion Soups I've ever had. $.95 for a cup, $1.30 for a bowl w/ homemade Parmesan croutons. 50 cents milks as well.
Cambridge Hospital is a decent second, and Youville would be last out of my experience on the left side of the river...
