13 Month Calendar.

I think the Campaign for Real Time ought to look into the validity of the Gregorian Calendar and investigate the implementation of a 13 Month Solar/Lunar Calendar. I like the idea of tossing the Gregorian Calendar, but that's a poorly made argument. Unfortunately the phases of the earth, moon and sun are non-integral, and inherently any calendar based on one will fall out of phase with the others... well, the moon cycle and earth rotation are rather close, but the sun is off relative to both. 13 months would be cool, because that's how many fingers god has.

Pitch me a better calendar idea. 13 Months would be cool because that's how many moons there are in a year.

A calendar which revolves around the Jandekian axis and has as many monhts as he puts out records in a 365 day period.

No, see, there are 12.36826709986269 ish months in a year. Real ones, that is. I wouldn't need to pitch you a better calendar if you were Jewish.

13 months would not be cool because there are not 13 moons in a year. That's why this calender system got dumped. We'd need to have leap-months or leap-years at a staggering (pun intended) rate. OK... just read it. I do like the "Day Out Of Time" idea. Also: Campaign for New Time!

that gives "howling at the moon" a new meaning. _______________________________

There are thirteen moons in a year way more than there aren't.
