I could just up the frequency of the cron job that does netnews --> drupal. Otherwise, netnews --> drupal occurs only with changes to the synchronized forums.
BTW, you can read the the blogs via a RSS reader (Mozilla Thunderbird has one), using the <a href="http://www.rideside.net:8080/drupal/blog/feed">feeds</a>. No way to post comments via that reader, yet.
