"Hello from Amazon.com. We are pleased to report that the following item will ship sooner than expected: --Michael T. Fournier (Author) "Minutemen's Double Nickels on the Dime (33 1/3)" [Paperback]" Received today, waiting to be signed.

Posted by pamsterdam on 2007-04-24 07:46:27 +0000
Just got mine yesterday. Does the author plan a book tour for the purposes of signing? I'd camp out...

Posted by Epoisses on 2007-04-24 15:37:05 +0000
Philadelphia is confirmed for June 21st -- working on NYC, Baltimore and DC. Hopefully Portland/Olympia/Seattle/Vancouver in July and something local in May. I saw it in the Harvard bookstore yesterday and was like whoa!

Posted by Miriam on 2007-04-24 16:22:11 +0000
If you're going to DC you might as well come to Nashville!

Posted by Epoisses on 2007-04-24 16:37:19 +0000
Is there a bus/train?

Posted by Miriam on 2007-04-24 17:04:59 +0000
There's Southwest Airlines...that's pretty much the same thing, right? Otherwise, it's an 11 hour car ride. Don't know if there's a direct bus. Probably. Plane would be faster, and more comfortable, but likely with less flair. Certainly less Kerouac-esque.

Posted by pamsterdam on 2007-04-24 17:22:52 +0000
(clearing throat) Um... There is no direct bus from Amsterdam. HINT HINT

However hilarious you think Epoisses is, you have not seen or heard hilarious until you've seen (and heard) him out of his pineapple on Dutch skunk.

Posted by Epoisses on 2007-04-24 17:39:44 +0000
...while listening to Stricken for Catherine.

It's going to be "Letters Not Sent" on the iPod while I walk to work. Yow!

Nice. I think I want to move into that bookstore. They get John Waters' mail! Rad.

Posted by tommy on 2007-04-30 23:10:55 +0000
Okay, so it's cool enough that you are a professor of punk rock, and that you're in the Globe it seems every couple of weeks, and that you got to write a book about your favorite album... But, dude... you owned a Rabbit pickup?!?!? You are my hero. Seriously.

Posted by Epoisses on 2007-04-30 23:26:13 +0000
Well, it was my folks', but yeah. I learned to drive on a 1981 VW pickup that went 55 downhill in 5th, odometer stuck on 144,000 miles. It made SO much noise and had two seats. Awesome!

Posted by MF DU on 2007-09-22 13:11:04 +0000
I was supposed to post this a long time ago, but liberating photos from my cell phone onto the internet is more laborious than I had hoped. Anyhoo: This is a display I found @ Turn it Up! records in Northhampton, MA earlier this summer. Natch, Epoisses horizontal neighbors are Captain Beefheart and Stevie Wonder.
