Because, you know, I have a view from the cube:

I found the print of this before I saw yr post here -
GOOD WORK. :)
BTW: 'the view from my cube' is quite bleak today after a weekend of snow, friends, and ambient doom metal...

I think that a lot of people on myspace would probably do well to read that. It's like anyone with a mirror and panties these days is putting soft core porn on their profile pictures. So what if it's the first thing I click on, it doesn't mean it doesn't tarnish their image or create an atmosphere of immediate disrespect.
A swedish coworker of mine got fired for changing the words of the president of PNC bank's monthly letter. In fact everyone who received it and forwarded it got canned. Really just an excuse to cut off some fat.

Me too. Read it in the paper yesterday and didn't even realize who wrote it until now.

On the other hand, if everyone does it, then it stops being a big deal. I think tattoos used to be a thing to avoid if you ever wanted an office job, but that's fading now (well, except for Earth Crisis Face). I wonder if porny myspace photos will be totally fine in 10 years.
A little after 10D and I starting working together, he pointed me to a newsgroup posting from a new hire. There is a 'tradition' here where you post to introduce yourself to the rest of the company. Generally people post stuff like "Hi, I'm Bob, the new guy who works in department X. In my spare time, I like to watch television, tend my lawn, and purchase BMWs".
But this one post was more like "Hi, my name's _____ and I just got out of college last month. OMG i'm so psyched to get a job here. Umm, so ya, I like to party and go out dancing and stuff! I have freckles and still live with my mom, but I don't sleep there every night ;)" It went on like this for a while. She did everything but give her measurements. I had to take a cold shower.

No, it was better than that. She was an intern. 18.
