Why can't we get guys like <a href="http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/recap?gid=270505115">this</a>?

Do I drop Chris Carpenter seeing as he'll be on the DL for the next 3-4 months? My all-NL top four is Ted Lilly, Chris Capuano, Tom Glavine and Derek Lowe (in no particular order).

Can I trade an injured Carpenter for an active bat? My 25 HR are league worst. Scraping bottom with AVG and OBP as well.

There's a bunch of injured pitchers who will (supposedly) be back before Carpenter is healthy, Pedro among them.

Have you been checking free agents?

Not for pitchers I guess I should just drop Carpenter. Although, I don't have room for a batter anyway... What other injured pitcher could I replace him with?
