Whoo!

Did anyone else notice V-tek "jock" the final ball for the last out? Watch the replay, you'll see it.

wheeeeeee!

Um, I fell asleep in the middle of the ninth.

I'm right there with you--eyes started droopin' in the 7th, was pretty much asleep on the couch in the 8th, saw the score was 4-3, got a little scared, and then said fuck it and went to bed. Figured my friend bob would call either way, and he did.

I gave up after the 8th. Went up and got ready for bed. Put the radio on for about 5 seconds before I turned the lights out, heard that they won, slept happy.

TV muted. Earphones in. The mellifluous tones of Joe Castgi wafted me to sleep.

Lowell is a champ. I definitely prefer listening on the radio to the tv now. You can really get things done.

Went out and took a walk around Allston by myself after they won. Cops at every major intersection. Got one (1) high five from a guy I didn't know. Whooo.

I agree--half the time I'm not actually looking at the tv when something happens anyway.

Forgot the game was on, but when I got home around 8:30 CST, I turned on the tv and nail-bit until after a little post-game commentary. So much for getting up early this morning! Felt like they would take it in 4, but didn't want to jinx it.

Listened to the game on the radio on the way to and back from my hockey game. Got in-game updates from the ref, who was checking with the Zamboni guy, who was watching it on TV. Got home in time to see the last 1.5 innings. Anyone going to the parade? I can't make it this year, but I went in 2004 and it was pretty awesome.

No duck boats on the Charles, evidently. So, no parade for me.

Simmons.

Just watched the parade go by. From my 8th-floor window down Berkeley Street, it was just a mess of red on 25 duck boats and a flat-bed truck. I couldn't recognize anyone but Wally, who is always easy to recognize on account of the color of his skin.

Racist!
