Yeah! I'm deciding on the second batch. Oatmeal Stout, possibly. Tomorrow marks two weeks in the bottle for the ESB, might be ready for a sample.

Save a bottle for me if there is to be a H3W Holiday™ event!

Good pssft removing the cap. Rich copper color, cloudy but clearing. Not much head. A bit of lace lingers. Definitely not flat. Not much on aroma (but I'm in the cold basement and feeling cloggy). Great mouthfeel with a nice bitterness up front. I'd call it a roundness maybe. Just enough enough malt, consider steeping some oatmeal and Crystal... maybe. Turns to a grassy hoppy bite. Haven't had a Sierra Nevada Pale in a while, but this works as a stand in. Up the aroma hops and consider dry hopping? The 15/10/5 schedule seems a bit much, but that's what the boys in Chico do. 10/5 with a half once each and another 1/2 ounce in the primary fermenter. Make it again, certainly.

Sierra also adds brewers' yeast to each first bottle. I'll make this batch again -- a very good first attempt, I think.
