Couple observations: 1) The band was awesome, and they could play the holy Hell out of their instruments. Nice to see a keyboard player really play instead of playing either pads or simplistic "lines." Although, to borrow from the movie "Amadeus," there were just too many notes. (Now that's a funny joke in the movie, but, there are times I think "too many notes" can be a valid criticism for some music.) 2) Celebrities are, on the whole, tiny people. I was expecting the Freidbergers to be tall, for some odd reason. 3) At last weeks Dirty Projectors show, I was devastated to find I was the oldest person in the club by at least a good decade. It was refreshing to not be the oldest person at the Furnaces' show. In fact, Roger Miller stood next to me the whole night.
