Wow. Seriously, are they twins? I love looking at pictures of people I know back before I knew them and when they were wee. Um, or pictures of very similar-looking siblings of people I know back when they were wee... There's this one picture of BGM when he was 7, and for real, he was the gayest 7-year-old EVER. Adorable.

You'll appreciate this story, Pamsterdam: We were at the aquarium with Jenny and Jess (from back in the day) and their sprogs this weekend, and Chippy ran into the best friend (BF) of one of Chippy's roommates (RmM), someone that we both were very close with in college. BF told us that recently he heard from RmM who told him that RmM had a new boyfriend! The backstory: RmM is in his early 40s, a real sensitive and funny soul, who never ever dated the whole time we knew him. Everyone who knew him speculated, but I honestly don't think he even knew himself well enough to even ask the right questions in his own mind (does that make sense?). A guy who RmM had been working with for a really long time asked him out because (according to BF), "RmM would never have had the guts." Since then they have been very happy, and they have even met each others parents. We are thrilled for him-- I almost cried when I heard about it. And when we told the third (queer) roommate in their old house, she said "Well, we always thought he would be the last to know!" Funny and sweet and wonderful all at the same time. And PS-- Both J and J are preggers with #2. Isn't that great?

Ha! I definitely appreciate it - so funny. I recently found out that BGM's version of his "coming out to BFF Pamsterdam" story is way shorter (and possibly less true to the facts) than my version. It goes like this: BGM: Um, I think I might be gay. Pamsterdam: Well, DUH! I think I was slightly more sensitive... Please pass my congratulations on to J&J!
