Last full length was Go Forth, natch. Inches was a compilation of, you guessed it, singles.

Ew! Is that what they look like?
Hot name, ugly band.

There are other members beside Tim Harrington. Maybe the guitarist is more to your taste:

I love your approach to this situation, dear tgl. Pamsterdam-approved.
Hm... left-to-right assessment:
* difficult to say without seeing his hair, but glasses are a plus.
* looks surly - this is a good thing.
* that is 'the icky man'. No.
* his jaw (and haircut) is too square for my taste.

Lorbering to point out that the leftmost man's rather fetching "weird" vibe is mitigated by the lingering suspicion that he may be a bike messenger.
Yes, this is a science.
SCIENCE!

The guy in the Chicago Bears t-shirt works with my friend Bibi at a fragrance company.
FWIW: I think "3/5" is their best record. They don't have a whole lotta "songs," per se, more like "great moments within a song structure." But man, they've put on at least 3 of the most entertaining shows I've seen (in order of appearance):
1) The Upstairs one where while the last song was still being played, Tim stops playing and starts putting his keyboard and stand away and off the stage. The song continues on while the bass player put away his instrument, and moved his cabinet off stage. Then the guitar player stopped, did the same thing while the drummer is still kicking ass. Finally, the three guys in the band methodically removed hardware and put the kit piece by piece into their cases, until the drummer is only keeping the beat with just his drum throne.
2) The Downstairs Les Savy Fav show featuring a very drunk tgl! We heckled the heck out of them. The show ended with Tim putting on a witch costume and then proceeded to run around the entirety of the sold out Downstairs on a broom.
3) Mimi and I saw them open up for Kaiju Big Battel, and they were wearing NCAA wrestling outfits. Tim mostly flew off the ropes and had the floor of the mat shaking violently, so much so that the amps and drum kit were wobbling. They ended with a punishing version of "Adopduction" The audience, mostly families, didn't know what hit em.
Honorable mention for them stealing the show at the Damn Personals/Dismembement Plan show at the Roxy.

They did indeed steal the show at The Roxy. I'd have to agree that it's mostly about the moments. I couldn't hum a tune.
"Who rocks the party?"

the roxy show was fantastic. for them to show up the D-plan was impressive as the plan was in fine form that night as well.

I went in to the Roxy show thinking that they were OK, and in love with the Plan. But you're totally right about them pwning the night.

I actually thought that they were the d-plan, since they were clearly the best thing going on, and everybody'd been talking about the d-plan so much.
I guess I can't say that I've never seen the damn personals then, so I guess I'm not so uncool that I'm cool any more, just another goddamn scenester. goddammit.

I saw them at a different Roxy show when they opened up for the Faint. They stole the show there, too - greatest moment I remember was having no idea what he's singing about, but a giant laser animated pegasus with wings flapping was intermittently projected up on the screen behind them. At the same time the singer was so deadly serious about whatever he was singing about that I couldn't stop laughing. Showmanship at its finest!

Lee Bronson & Tim Harrington are spiritual brothers.
