I'm ready coach. Put me in, I'm loose...

To really bury the curse, do the RS need to win Game 7? If they go 4-2, does that still leave the curse down, but not out?
4-1 (to have a postseason record of 11-4) would be nice too, except that means Game 5 in St. Louis, not Boston.

no no no no no. Any WS victory will do, including of course a sweep. What are we trying to do, give the curse an extra long lease? Although it might seem nice to have the winning game 6 or 7 in Boston, I want to say there will be fewer casualties in the event that such victory occurs in St. Louis. I shudder somewhat to think what an extra 35,000 people trying to leave the Fenway Park area would look like among the throngs.

It's always been a loss in Game 7 though... at least since 1918.

Counting our chickens, eh?
I've still got my fingers crossed, despite last night's trouncing.
