Basically, any news that distracts from coverage of "real" events such as Iraq/Afghanistan/the plodding economoy/celebrity blow-ups are good for Bush:
* RS win 4-3 over the MFY, after trailing 0-3
* O'Reilly "sex" scandal
* images of Kerry windsurfing
* Rathergate
* Ashlee Simpson lip syncing
On the other hand, some things are a boon for Kerry:
* IAEA missing explosives memo
* Bush MIA in Alabama documents (oops, backfired, see Rathergate)
* Abu Ghraib photos
* Bush's bulge
* ...there has got to be other weird pop-culture items that help Kerry out...
